KANSAS DEMOCRATIC PARTY PARTNERS WITH COUNTY PARTIES TO HOST RALLIES ACROSS THE STATE TO HIGHLIGHT WHAT DEMOCRATS STAND FOR

County Democratic Parties from Ellis to Atchison to Cowley to Johnson to Cherokee hosted rallies and protests across the state

County Democratic Parties from Ellis to Atchison to Cowley to Johnson to Cherokee hosted rallies and protests across the state this past weekend, Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27th.

The Kansas Democratic Party worked with county parties to create rallies focused on things Democrats are fighting to uphold, such as support for veterans, federal workers, unions, Medicaid, Social Security, and public education.

The rallies varied in programming formal speaking events, to sign holding on busy street corners, to driving through towns. Rallies ranged anywhere from 15 people to more than 500 in Johnson County.

“We supported these rallies to show that not only are Kansans hurting and angry because of the erratic policies being made by extreme Republicans in both DC and Topeka, but Democrats are here and fighting to protect everyday Kansans, their livelihoods, and our shared values,” said Kansas Democratic Party Chair Jeanna Repass.
