KANSAS DEMOCRATIC PARTY KICKS OFF DEMOCRACY FEST IN COLBY
Kansas Democrats will gather across Western Kansas to unite, inspire and hear from key Democratic Leaders as the Democracy-Fest Tour begins this weekend.
TOPEKA, KS – The Kansas Democratic Party will kick off the first of three events called “Democracy Fest” in Colby Kansas starting this Saturday September 20. The event will be the kickoff to the tour across western Kansas to bring Democratic leaders and volunteers together in parts of the state that seldom see conventions and gatherings of this type.
Each Democracy Fest will feature a luncheon and key addresses by statewide candidates, local democratic leaders and key leaders from across the state. The event in Colby will be complemented by additional family friendly activities and tours of area attractions in the Northwest part of the state.
“As we approach the 2025 municipal elections in November and pivot to the statewide elections of 2026, the Kansas Democratic Party wants to be sure that no Kansan and no Democrat in the state feels left behind.” Kansas Democratic Party Chair Jeanna Repass said. “We need to go to places where democrats are doing the work – often in the super minority compared to their neighbors – and say, we see you, we are united, and we can win together!”
Additional Democracy-Fest events will take place in Dodge City and Hays Kansas in October.
Date & Time: Saturday, September 20, 2025 @ 12:00pm – 4:00pm.
Location: City Limits Convention Center, 2227 S. Range Avenue Colby, Kansas
