As Health Care Costs Skyrocket for 200,000 Kansans, Marshall Dismisses Concerns Over Rising Costs Because "Women Are Great Shoppers"
Last week, Marshall voted to let key tax credits expire and raise health care costs
GOP Senator Roger Marshall is yet again downplaying the health care crisis he created, this time suggesting that Kansans will be able to manage the sharp rise in health care costs because “women are great shoppers.”
Weeks after telling CNN he would “absolutely not” vote to keep health care affordable for Kansans, Marshall followed through last week, voting against extending the Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits — a move that will spike costs for hundreds of thousands. He was also caught on camera backslapping colleagues and laughing as he voted against lowering these costs just a few months ago.
