ICYMI: REP. SHARICE DAVIDS RAISES OVER HALF A MILLION IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2023
SHAWNEE, KS – Last week, Representative Sharice Davids’ campaign for re-election announced an impressive first-quarter fundraising haul of over $500,000. Representative Davids beat former aide to Governor Sam Brownback Amanda Adkins by 10 and 12 points in 2020 and 2022 respectively.
“Despite Kansas Republicans’ best efforts, Representative Sharice Davids is here to stay,” said KDP Chair Jeanna Repass. “Last November, voters in the Big Third showed up to make their voices heard because they trust Representative Davids to deliver and know that she is a leader they can count on. The momentum behind Representative Davids hasn’t died down since then, demonstrated by her latest fundraising haul. The people of Kansas’ Third Congressional District are sticking with Representative Davids no matter who the Republicans pick to run against her, and we will do everything in our power to ensure she is elected for another term in 2024.”
Some of Representative Davids’ top accomplishments while serving in U.S. Congress include:
- Leading the way on the passage of a once-in-a-generation infrastructure bill that will provide essential upgrades to our roads, bridges, and highways across Kansas.
- Voting to decrease the cost of prescription drugs for Kansas seniors and to cap insulin costs at $35 per month – the only member of Kansas’ federal delegation to do so.
- Supporting jobs and manufacturing in Kansas as a lead negotiator of the CHIPS and Science Act, which lowers costs for Kansas consumers, supports local workforce development, ends America’s dependence on foreign manufacturers, and boosts American research and innovation.
- Advocating for Kansas farmers as a member of the U.S. House Agriculture Committee and centering Kansas farmers as she leads the passage of this year’s farm bill.
