KDP STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR LAURA KELLY DECLARING VICTORY IN KANSAS GOVERNOR’S RACE
Topeka, KS – Today, Governor Laura Kelly declared victory in the race to continue serving the people of Kansas for another four years as Governor. The Kansas Democratic Party released the following statement:
“We are thrilled that Kansans have voted for another four years of the record-breaking Kelly administration,” said KDP Chairwoman Vicki Hiatt. “What Governor Kelly and Lieutenant Governor Toland have accomplished in just four years has been no small feat: after inheriting an economy, public schools, and a transportation system in shambles, the Kelly administration has turned things around for our state.
“Governor Kelly got our economy back on track, brought billions of dollars in new business investment to our state, has fully funded schools four years in a row, created and retained over 53,000 jobs, and cut taxes for every single Kansan. Tonight, Kansans voted to keep her steady hand behind the wheel for another four years. We look forward to continuing our work with Governor Kelly and Lieutenant Governor Toland in their second term and to see all they will accomplish.”
