BUILD BACK BETTER PASSED THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
KDP Chairwoman Vicki Hiatt: “It is my hope moving forward that the Senate will have the backs of the American people and pass the Build Back Better Framework. Let’s get it done”
Topeka, KS — Today, Democrats in the House of Representatives passed President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda. The framework is dedicated to revitalizing the middle class, investing in child care and fighting climate change. The plan addresses some of our nation’s most serious issues like the unsustainable costs of health care and post-secondary education. The newly approved bill will now make its way to the Senate.
In response to the passage of Build Back Better in the House, the Kansas Democratic Party Chairwoman Vicki Hiatt released the following statement:
“Kansans should be proud knowing we have Representative Sharice Davids in office, who fought hard for the passage of President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda. Inaction by Kansas Republicans reflects how they’ve always led: By prioritizing their own personal interests over the needs of Kansans. Democrats know that when we invest in our people, we all win. With today’s vote, we’re one step closer to delivering for the middle class, creating millions of good-paying jobs, taking on climate change and growing our economy. It is my hope moving forward that the Senate will have the backs of the American people and pass the Build Back Better Framework. Let’s get it done.”
